How to Create a 100% Mekko Chart
Data Format
Same shape as a value-height Mekko chart, Category plus two or more value columns.
| Category | Value 1 | Value 2 | Value 3 |
|---|---|---|---|
| North America | 52 | 38 | 30 |
| Europe | 34 | 29 | 22 |
| Asia Pacific | 41 | 45 | 54 |
| Latin America | 18 | 16 | 14 |
- Category (required): the label under each column. Column width is set by this row's total against the grand total, same as in Value height mode.
- Value 1, Value 2, Value 3... (required, numeric, ≥ 0): one column per segment, stacked bottom to top as a share of the column, not an absolute height.
Chart Elements
A 100% Mekko chart uses the same style panel as a value-height Mekko chart, see the Mekko Chart guide for Bars, Labels, Stack Connectors, and Legend. What's different:
Bars
Set Mode to 100% height in the Settings panel. Every column fills the full plot height, and each segment shows as a percentage of that column instead of a value against a shared scale.
Axis, Grid, and Y Axis Labels
None of these render in 100% height mode, there's no shared Y scale for a gridline, tick, or range to mark. Only the X axis line and category labels remain.
