How to Insert a Gantt Chart into Google Slides

Google Slides doesn't support Gantt charts natively, and most templates you'll find elsewhere are boxes you resize by hand. Start from a Gantt template in AECharts and build it from your real task list instead, then export it into your deck or insert it directly with the Google Slides add-on.

Build the Chart

1

Start from a Gantt template

Open AECharts and pick a Gantt template already styled for a project workplan or client timeline, or start from a blank chart.

2

Paste your task list

Three columns: Task, Start date, End date. AECharts positions each bar on the calendar automatically, no manual date math. Paste straight from Excel, Google Sheets, or a CSV, no reformatting needed.

3

Add milestones and style the bars

Mark key dates as milestones, and set colors per task or by status. Add date range shading to call out a phase, then set the header tier (week, month, quarter) to match how far out the timeline runs.

4

Get it into your deck

Export as a PNG and paste it onto your slide. Or install AECharts for Google Slides, a sidebar that lists your saved charts, and click one to insert it directly, no export needed.
