A 100% stacked bar chart is the clearest way to show how a market is transitioning from one technology to another. Every bar fills the full chart height, representing 100% of the fleet. The segments divide that 100% among competing technologies, so readers can see at a glance how the dominant segment is shrinking while the emerging ones grow. Dashed connector lines track the seam between segments across years, making the transition rate visible without requiring the reader to mentally compare bar heights.
